Lingua Clinic has taught Spanish to London professionals, companies and schools since 2009. Below, clients describe their lessons with our Spanish tutor and the progress they made.
Business and corporate clients
Companies book Spanish for individual staff and for whole teams, at their offices or online, and our business Spanish courses are built around the meetings, calls and correspondence each team handles in Spanish.
AXIS, Global Insurer
I started to take lessons with Antonio as a complete beginner three months ago, and can’t thank him enough for helping me to build a solid foundation and confidence in Spanish as I set off to start my new job in Miami. Antonio is an excellent tutor – friendly, knowledgeable, patient, positive and encouraging. He takes an individual approach and ensured our time together was relevant to my requirements. I thoroughly enjoyed every lesson and would highly recommend Antonio to anyone interested in advancing their Spanish skills.

Antonio has been my Spanish teacher for the last 18 months and thanks to him, I have greatly improved my vocabulary, my conversation and my confidence in speaking Spanish. He takes time to encourage and motivate you in order to improve. I enjoy every lesson and I always look forward to the next one. Antonio is one of the most inspirational teachers I know and I would highly recommend him. Excellent teacher.

Due to the expansion of our business into Spain, we got Lingua Clinic to provide a group of people with Spanish lessons at our London office. The lessons have been well received and all participants felt that the course was excellent value and worthwhile doing.
S. Olivier, Paediatric Coordinator, European Medicines Agency, London
I have just finished a series of private lessons with Lingua Clinic over one month. Overall, it was a great experience which I highly recommend. I would like to thank Antonio for his dedication and his teaching skills.
Private lessons
Private Spanish lessons are built around one learner’s goals, at your home or office in London or as online Spanish lessons with the same tutor. Our comparison of apps, classes and a private tutor explains what one-to-one teaching adds.
Romany Pajdak, Ballet Dancer, Royal Opera House
I have just returned from a trip to Havana and thanks to Antonio I was not only able to get by in the day to day business of ordering food, making reservations and sorting transport but I could also follow and participate in conversations with ease. All this after just twenty hours. His lessons supply you with a wealth of material – developing your vocabulary and also teaching you about the cultures and customs of Spanish speaking countries. Finding the confidence to speak was very difficult for me but with Antonio’s patience and encouragement I found myself initiating conversations in Spanish whilst in Cuba. Thank you Antonio for your patience, flexibility and positivity. I look forward to furthering my linguistic skills with you.
Tiggy Maconochie, Director, Garzón Luxury Knitwear
Learning Spanish with Antonio Lora at Lingua Clinic has given me confidence with the language and holds my interest to learn more. Conversation, grammar and verbs are handled with sensitivity allowing for progress and exploration so I learn with ease. I highly recommend his tuition and welcome him into my home! Coming to a new language halfway through life can be more difficult but it is something I enjoy and look forward to because of how I am taught by Antonio.
Dr N. Edwards, Semiotician, Sign Salad
I recently undertook a Spanish language course with Lingua Clinic, and enjoyed it immensely. Antonio is a friendly, helpful and patient teacher very much attuned to the needs of his students: I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to others interested in improving their language skills.
Intensive courses
An intensive Spanish course compresses the work of months into a concentrated block, ahead of a posting, a move or an exam.
C. Strange, Teacher of Modern Languages, Girls’ Day School Trust, Bromley High School
I have just finished an intensive Spanish course with Lingua Clinic and would like to thank Antonio for his reliability, punctuality and above all his positive and dedicated approach to my linguistic needs. I felt that the materials used were very adequate and challenging, helping me to reach a higher level in the language. The conversations in debating films and current affairs were stimulating and sustained through Antonio’s clear and astute questions. I certainly enjoyed the experience and feel that it has brought me confidence and built a further awareness not only of the language but also of the Hispanic and Latin American cultures. A course that I shall certainly recommend to anyone interested in learning or practising Spanish further!
