Lingua Clinic provides private Spanish tutors in London, teaching individuals and companies since 2009. Your tutor comes to you: at home, at your office, or at our own office in the City. Lessons run from 7am to 8pm on weekdays, with weekend times as well, so a course can sit before work, at lunchtime or in the evening. Every course is one to one, or within a small group you put together, and shaped around the Spanish you need, at any level from A1 to C2.
Private Spanish lessons
One tutor and one learner, with the course built around your own purpose: your work, a move abroad, family, or the language itself. Your tutor is a native Spanish speaker with many years of teaching experience and an excellent level of English, so a grammar point can be settled in a sentence, and about 95 per cent of the lesson is in Spanish from the first day. Lessons run ninety minutes, and most students take two or three a week. Complete beginners are welcome, and so are students working towards the DELE diplomas or the SIELE certificate.
Business Spanish
Corporate Spanish training delivered on site at your offices. One-to-one programmes for senior executives and group courses for teams and departments, built around the business itself: client meetings, conference calls, presentations, negotiations and written correspondence. Groups of up to six delegates at a comparable level reduce the cost per head. Training is scheduled around the working day, from 7am, and invoiced to the company monthly, with ten- and twenty-hour packages available. Our clients have come from insurance, mining, the arts, education and the public sector.
Intensive Spanish courses
Where you are working to a deadline, moving abroad or taking up a role overseas, a course of one day to several weeks does in a short run what a weekly lesson does across months. Your tutor sets the pace against your date and works back from it, with lessons of ninety minutes or longer, several times a week or daily, on weekdays or at weekends. An intensive course suits a posting that has just been confirmed, a project starting in Madrid or Mexico City, or an exam with a date on it.
Where in London we teach
Your tutor comes to you. Most lessons take place at home or at an office: in the City and Canary Wharf, across the West End, Westminster, Mayfair and Kensington, and out to Islington, Hampstead and the surrounding boroughs. Travel anywhere in London is included in the price. You are equally welcome at our office at 35 New Broad Street, EC2M 1NH, two minutes from Liverpool Street station.
How a course begins
The first lesson opens with an assessment. Your tutor establishes the level you are at, how you plan to use your Spanish and how quickly you want to get there, then builds the course around those answers. If you would like an idea of your level beforehand, take our Spanish test.
